The Soroban, also called a counting frame, is a Japanese tool used for performing arithmetic calculations.

Genius MAP is a mental arithmetic program for children between 4-14 years. It may be part of the school curriculum in some schools, therefore, Genius MAP might be taken in the school program and as an after school activity. The program can be also provided in centers where the student can attend for two hours weekly.

It is designed to boost brain power and stimulate young minds using the soroban and mental arithmetic in a way that children find engaging and fun.

More than one way to solve a problem – applying different frameworks, we’ve found it, helps to increase the child’s understanding and improves his/her numeracy skills.

No. This is one of the main reasons why we start the mental training at this young age. Kids who develop their mental abilities and keep them forever, they might stop using the Soroban but they will never stop using the mental skills they have developed.
Soroban skills are much like sports or music — once trained, the child will retain it forever and can easily revive those skills in a very short period of time.

Course Instructors are trained on course materials, conducting education to students and communicating with parents. Certified trainers deliver level training to course teachers four times per year. The teachers must attend classes at random to provide guidance and to enforce quality control.

Yes, the program is tailored to help the students to solve the math problems mentally with accuracy and speed and also recheck if their answer is correct. Therefore, in cycle one, Genius MAP can replace two math sessions. While in cycle two, Genius MAP can replace one math session and other session from any other activity.
